Why this exists
If you are a pageant family in the Carolinas, the calendar mostly lives in Facebook groups and on a dozen system websites. Posts scroll away, dates change, and there is no one place to look. This site is that one place: an organized list of what is coming up in South Carolina and North Carolina, with a link back to the source for every entry.
How a pageant gets on the calendar
We list pageants held in South Carolina or North Carolina, plus state pageants for Carolina titles that are held elsewhere (National American Miss crowns its Carolina queens in Atlanta, and the listing says so). A pageant goes on the calendar when a public page shows its date: the system's site, the local's own page, or the director's entry form. Directors can also send us their pageant. As of October 24, 2026 the calendar holds 27 upcoming pageants from 9 systems, read on 9 different source sites.
Where each fact comes from
- The source link. Every listing links to the page we read. When we also checked the pageant's own page, the listing links that too.
- The date. Copied exactly. If the source says "TBA" or only "the first weekend in March", that is what we show. We never fill in a likely date.
- Divisions, fees, deadlines and style. Only if the source states them, in the source's own words. Natural or glitz is shown only when the pageant says so itself.
- The numbers on our guide and system pages ("16 of 27 upcoming pageants are Miss America events", and so on) are counted from the listings each time the site is built, and say which date they are as of.
What "Checked" and "Not published" mean
"Checked October 24, 2026 on miss-sc.org" means that on that day we read that page and the listing matched it. The date changes only when we read the source again, not when the site is rebuilt.
"Not published" means the page we checked did not state that fact. It does not mean there is no fee or no deadline. Ask the director.
How often we re-check
We re-read each listing's source at least every 90 days, before its pageant season, and whenever a director or reader tells us something changed. Events leave the calendar on their own once their last day is over.
What we do not do
- Listings are free. We do not rank pageants or vendors, and nothing here is a review or a rating.
- The calendar is sorted by date, and the compare table shows the same fields for every pageant.
- We do not copy photos, flyers or other people's write-ups.
- We do not log into private groups to collect dates. If it is not public, a director has to send it to us.
- Featured spots, when they exist, will be labeled as featured and never change the facts we show.
What the calendar covers, and what it does not yet
This is a list of what we could confirm on public pages, not every pageant in the Carolinas. As of October 24, 2026:
- When we checked, the Miss USA site said to check back for 2027 enrollment, so Miss USA has a guide but no Carolina listings.
- Most festival pageants post next year's dates a few months ahead, so several festivals are not listed yet, and the SC Strawberry Festival is listed as date TBA.
- Some systems and independent pageants share dates only on Facebook, which we do not use as a source, or on sites we could not load. They are not listed until a public page or the director confirms them.
- No vendors are listed yet. We have leads, but none has been checked on its own site. The vendor page has the questions to ask in the meantime.
When something changes
Events leave the calendar automatically once they are over. If a date moves or a detail is wrong, anyone can report a correction from the link on each listing. We check it against a public page before we change anything, and aim to have corrections live within 5 business days.
For directors
Listing an event is free. Send us your pageant with a public link where we can see the details, and we will get it on the calendar.
Who runs it, and how to reach us
Carolina Pageants is independent. It is not run by or affiliated with any pageant system. Questions, corrections and anything else go to [email protected].
